I don’t think I have ever felt more overwhelmed than when I returned home from Nepal at the end of May 2015. My emotions were stretched thin and my energy reserves were nearly depleted. And yet, if I were faced with the prospect of repeating that trip over again, I would absolutely accept the opportunity.
My three week trip to Nepal was packed with activities that included direct earthquake relief and photo/video documentation. The combination of these activities sometimes caused me to feel like I was Forest Gump’s ping pong ball. Nevertheless, I was energized by the ridiculous pace.
I was humbled by watching how Nepali people took care of each other. Their strength and resilience was extraordinary.
